Adopting from our sanctuary allows us to save more innocent lives!  Each cat & dog & rabbit for adoption is:

  • Up-to-date on major vaccinations
  • Spayed/Neutered
  • Micro-chipped (permanent ID)

In addition, you receive a free veterinary check-up and bag of premium food.  (Cats have also been tested for feline leukemia and go home with a free carpeted door scratcher.  And dogs go home with a rescue ID tag.)  The average adoption fee for cats is $40 (or $70 for kittens) and the average adoption fee for dogs is $100.  The average adoption fee for a bunny is $35 (for singles) and $50 (for bonded pairs).  Adoption fees for other species vary, beginning at $5.

Please be sure to bring your whole family to ensure the animal you are considering for adoption will be accepted by all other members of your family.  It is especially important to bring young children and your family's current dog.  Please call our front office staff at 873-SPCA with any questions or concerns.

We are open from 11am-5pm on Fridays and Saturdays, from 11am-4pm Monday through Thursday, and closed on Sundays.

Please return to the homepage for contact information and a Yahoo map to help you find the sanctuary.  We are at 4800 W. Dewey Drive, which is just east of Decatur, and one block north of Russell in the southwest valley.  We hope to see you soon.
