Dear Nick,
Thank you for believing in our lifesaving work and as a very special supporter, we invite you to our open house on November 8, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Nevada SPCA.
We also want to share some exciting news as we are very pleased to announce the selection of a new board of directors and the hiring of a new executive director.  The new board members bring a rich mix of skills and experience needed to provide vision and guidance to Nevada SPCA.  This includes financial, legal, government, real estate, communications, and fundraising expertise.
Lori Heeren has joined Nevada SPCA as the new executive director.  Lori was chosen for this position after a thorough rigorous selection process from a highly competitive pool of 56 applicants.
As you are aware, Nevada SPCA is of tremendous importance to animals in Clark County, fulfilling a critical need by providing a safe haven until a loving home is secured.  Nevada SPCA is the third largest adoption shelter in Nevada and takes in more than 2,500 pets each year.  No animal is euthanized for time or space - we seek to provide quality care to dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small animals until a home can be found.
Nevada SPCA is a refuge for animals in their time of need, like Rocco, a bulldog who arrived with eye issues that required surgery, and Rob, a senior cat who needed extensive dental care.  Thanks to you, and other kind animal lovers like you, we are able to be here for them.  Nevada SPCA relies entirely on donations from individuals and local businesses to provide lifesaving care to animals in need.  We receive no government funds nor is Nevada SPCA funded by any national organization.
With your support, we will be able to help even more animals in the future.  Please join us for the Nevada SPCA Open House on November 8th!   You'll have a chance to meet us, our new board members, and the new management team at Nevada SPCA, as well as the animals your support has helped save.  (We'll have complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages.)
If you know of someone who may want to learn more about our work, feel free to also invite them to our Open House.
Thomas Moran, Board of Directors President
Lori Heeren, Executive Director
