
Medical Resources
The following medical resources and grant programs are not affiliated with or managed by Nevada SPCA, but are offered as referrals to help connect pet owners with additional financial assistance for veterinary care.
- Animal Foundation (KEPPT) – KEPPT assists with veterinary bills for Las Vegas pet owners. Through various grants, the KEPPT program provides additional funding for those who need it most.
- Hearts Alive Village – By providing financial assistance in times of need, Hears Alive Village allows veterinary decisions to be made based on a favorable outcome for the animal, not by the financial constraints of the animal’s family. Financial support for veterinary care may be given to families who demonstrate substantial financial need and are unable to qualify for credit.
- AlignCare – When pets cannot get the care they need, they can suffer from illness or the risk of being surrendered to a shelter. AlignCare attempts to remove these family stressors by providing support to families and veterinary care for their pets. AlignCare funds cover up to 80% of a pet’s veterinary costs, engages other community groups, AlignCare Veterinary Social Workers provide non-medical support to enrolled families and our AlignCare Veterinary Service Provider partners.
- Bond’s Fund (jotform.com) – Frankie’s Friends National Fund provides financial assistance grants to family-owned pets in need of lifesaving emergency or specialty veterinary care whose caregivers cannot afford the full cost of treatment. This program is designed to help with the TREATMENT of emergency and specialty ophthalmic conditions where the pet would otherwise suffer, be euthanized, or relinquished without proper veterinary care, as seen by a veterinary ophthalmologist.
- Bow Wow Buddies Charity – The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation is Camp Bow Wow’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the health and happiness of our furry loved ones. The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation offers a second chance to sick and injured dogs in need by providing medical care funds to dogs who are either homeless or whose parents cannot afford to pay their veterinary bills.
- Brown Dog Foundation – Provides funding to families who find themselves in financial hardship; a sick pet that would likely respond to treatment, but due to an unforeseen circumstance, there is not enough money immediately available to make it happen.
- Frankie’s Friends – Applications for assistance will be considered if your pet needs emergency or specialty veterinary care. Your pet has already been seen by a licensed veterinarian. The veterinarian has determined your pet has a good prognosis with treatment. You can show documentation of financial need, and the treatment plan has not yet been paid.
- Friends and Vets Helping Pets – Assists families with financial limitations to pay for extraordinary veterinary expenses necessary to save a pet’s life. Friends and Vets Helping Pets hopes to solve the problem of families being forced, unnecessarily, to euthanize a family pet solely because of cost restraints.
- Harley’s Hope Foundation – Harley’s Hope offers a variety of services designed to help keep pets in their existing homes. Their core services are financial assistance with major veterinary care, and additional help for seniors and their companions.
- Help A Pet – provides financial assistance to pet owners who are unable to afford the cost of veterinary services, medicine, or medical supplies for a sick or injured pet.
- Hope Mending Hearts – Provides financial assistance grants so pet owners, Good Samaritans and rescuers can care for animals who need urgent veterinary care. An easy online application and quick approval process. Resources for pet owners struggling with economic hardship. Resources for victims of domestic violence and deploying soldiers.
- The Mosby Foundation – Helps qualified limited-income pet parents facing extenuating veterinary circumstances no one could possibly foresee. Their website includes a list of other resources that may be able to assist you with your pup’s medical bills.
- Paws 4 A Cure – Provides financial assistance for the treatment of non-routine veterinary care throughout the United States dogs and cats with all illnesses and injuries. This includes medication, insulin, Heartworm positive treatment and medical equipment such as wheelchairs.
- Pet Assistance, INC – PAi financially helps longtime pet owners who have always cared for their pet yet find they cannot afford an emergency problem.
- The Pet Lifeline Program – was created with the goal of helping sick pets get the medical attention they need. Through this program, they provide pet financial assistance to low-income pet owners who are having trouble paying expensive vet bills.
- The Pet Fund -This nonprofit assists only with non-basic, non-urgent veterinary care. They fund such medical needs as cancer treatment, heart disease, chronic conditions, endocrine diseases, eye diseases, etc.
- RedRover Relief – Provides financial assistance grants and additional resources, so pet owners and rescuers can care for animals in need of urgent veterinary care. - Shakespeare Animal Fund – Shakespeare Animal Fund stops the suffering of animals by helping pet owners with emergency veterinary bills due to accidents, sickness and other emergencies, in 13 northern Nevada counties and in North Central Florida.
- SpayUSA – a nationwide referral network for affordable spay and neuter services. For over 20 years SpayUSA has helped hundreds of thousands of people nationwide obtain low cost, quality spay and neuter services for their cats and dogs.
- STARelief – to provide life-saving pet food and veterinary care, emergency boarding and foster care to pets whose caretakers are struggling with financial hardship.
Financial Resources
The following financial resources are not affiliated with or managed by Nevada SPCA, but are offered as referrals to help connect pet owners with additional financial assistance for veterinary care.
- Care Credit – A credit card company for health care, including veterinary care. With a comprehensive range of options, they offer a plan and a low monthly payment to fit almost every budget.
- *Transactions over $200 are eligible for financing options.
- **32.9% APR Interest.
- Scratchpay -Simple, friendly payment plans with no surprises. Finding your plan won’t affect your credit score.
- (Checking your eligibility for a plan will not impact your credit score. If you are approved and accept a Scratch loan, issued by WebBank, loan repayment activities may be reported to the credit bureaus)
- *Zero interest if paid in full within 6 months.
- **Interest rate on these plans is merit-based and tailored to the client’s own credit profile. Interest rates can vary between 5.9% to the upper 20s or lower 30s, depending on the state.
- All Pet Card – All Pet Credit Card helps you be there for them when they need you most. Special financing ensures your pets can get the care they need, when they need it.
- *No interest on transactions of $250 or more.
- Interest will be charged from the purchase date if the promotional plan balance is not paid in full within the promotional period.
- **14.9%-17.9% APR interest, depending on promotional plan.
