Molly was found by a Good Samaritan at Sunset Park. It was clear Molly had been abandoned and was in desperate need of medical care. Molly had one of the worst ear mite infestations that the Nevada SPCA medical team had ever seen. The mites had been thriving for so long in Molly’s ear they had completely closed off her ear canal and had began building to the external part of her ear – it resembled a beehive. Her ear was also very swollen and heavy; the combination of everything making life very painful for Molly. Molly needed to have several procedures under anesthesia to remove the build up and make sure there wasn’t a secondary infection. She received medication and lots of TLC from staff to help her on her road to recovery.
