Ebone Smith  joined Nevada SPCA in October 2018 after serving as an Accounting Office Manager for three local businesses.  Her love of animals started at a young age with her first job at 15 as a petting zoo attendant at the Detroit Zoo. At 17, Ebone moved to Philadelphia and became the Vice President of an event planning company whose clients included the Philadelphia Eagles, Ursinus College, Drexel University and the Philadelphia 76ers. She has been a pet parent to a wide variety of animals like fish, iguanas, dwarf frogs, cats and currently her two rescue dogs, Love and Thor. Ebone is a graduate of the University of the Pacific Animal Shelter Management program and has a wealth of knowledge in payroll, human resources, accounting, event planning and fundraising.
