Steve moved to Las Vegas in 2016 with his wife Carol from a small town outside of Chicago, Illinois to be closer to his grandchildren. He has worked in the maintenance/construction industry since 1978, primarily in the healthcare field, and has degrees in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. Steve joined Nevada SPCA in September 2019 as his first job in the animal rescue, although he’s been rescuing dogs his entire life and currently has five shelter dogs (and they all sleep with him!).   Steve enjoys spending time with his family, working out, cooking, hiking, camping, and fishing.  He is referred to as “MacGyver” in the shelter for his amazing talent at fixing anything.
